Our High school basketball team lost their opening game by 12 points at HOLA CENTER. “Our group played well but still need games to come together as a team. We were not aggressive enough. We could feel some players did not play at their real potential. It is totally understandable. We will do better next week.” said Coach Marilyn. That is exactly what they did: everyone fought hard during the second game, especially Dakota who has been playing really well this season. This team spirit allowed us to win by 12 points last Friday. Boys High school next game will be held at Lafayette Park this coming Friday, January 27^th 2012 at 7.00 pm. Boys and Girls elementary basketball will start the competition when they will be back from France at Hazard recreation center. Los Feliz and Pasadena will have 2 teams registered in that competition. Our two Girls volleyball team will be back in the game this coming week end, with our U15 group playing on Saturday, and our U18 group playing on Sunday. Both teams will be coached by Caroline. After a good week of practice, we hope to have more room to play and be able to win at least a game. Our girls High school basketball team will be playing this coming Wednesday January 25^th 2012 at Hazard Recreation Center at 6.30 pm. Our soccer team 12-15 keeps on practicing and will have its first scrimmage soon. We also would like to congratulate the West Valley players and coaches for their soccer program. After being successful during the fall season, we now have 36 players registered  in the YMCA spring season with coach Myriam and Anne. Go Lions!
